Savona Free Library and the local Sewing Guild are teaming up to give all stuffed friends a free checkup On October21. If your stuffed friend needs a little TLC or a new eye, the Sewing Guild nurses will work to help the stuffed friend to feel better. The clinic will be held at the Library in the Mary Helen Joint Meeting House (corner of McCoy St. and Main St.). While at the Savona Free Library enjoy a story hour with our staff.

At 11:00 am there will be a special story hour with local author Gary Brown. He will be reading his book “Willy of the Crooked Lake.” The book is based on a true story of the Brown family rescuing a black Cocker Spaniel on the highway above Keuka Lake. He will have copies of his book for available for signing. You can get a copy for a donation of $15.00 to the Finger Lakes SPCA in Bath. The donation can be made at the library. ” Since last December when the book was printed, FLSPCA has distributed well over 1000 books, ordered a second 1000 copies and raised over $30,000 for the new shelter (books aren’t purchased — people make a donation to the SPCA and get a book as thanks).”

Bring a stuffed friend to the library for a wellness visit and maybe find some books to borrow while you are here.
