Take an adventure and expand your horizons this summer with the 2024 Summer Reading Plus (SRP) program. The SRP is made up of a Summer Reading Challenge of reading 1200 minutes (20 hours) over the six weeks the program runs. Starting on June 29, 2024 you can sign up at the library or on-line for the reading challenge. Participants will earn raffle tickets for raffle prizes, and books for reading minutes more information check out “Adventure Begins at Your Library” Reading Challenge. We will start with a sign-up on June 29 at 12:00 pm. The program will run for six weeks ending on August 10 with a Make-Your-Own-Sundae party. During the six weeks participants can stop in at the library to show their reading logs and receive their earned raffle ticket and/or books. You can also earn raffle tickets by participating in any of the many events happening during the six weeks. Check out our events on our calendar page. Raffle prizes will be awarded on two days, July 20 for the Sterling Renissance Festival, Seabreeze Amusement Park, and the Finger Lakes Boating Museum, the rest of the raffles will be pulled at the Make-Your-Own-Sundae party August 10, 2024. Along with the events there will be trivia quizzes, Take and Make crafts, a guessing jar, and kids can hunt for the Carmen Sandeigo figurine in the library for a treat.
