1. The Winter Read Challenge is open to young people in grades K-12th and/or homeschoolers.
  2. Winter Read Challenge sign up starts February 12, 2026. At sign up you will get a reading log.
  3. Log all reading time starting February 14.
  4. Read what you want. Acceptable reading: print books, magazines, e-books, and audio books. (Reading social media or listening to podcasts, does not count.)
  5. Bring your reading log to the library for verification (best to do once a week).
  6. Receive a raffle ticket for every 120 minutes (2 hours) of reading. Raffle tickets can be placed in the raffle of your choice. See raffle prizes click here.
  7. Receive a free book at sign up, every 300 minutes (5 hours) of reading and at completion of the challenge (840 minutes).
  8. Last day to verify reading logs to get raffle tickets March 13 by 7:00 pm. For free books March 14, 2026.
  9. March 14, 2026 at 12:00 pm there will be a Pizza Party celebrating the end of the Winter Read Challenge. Raffle prize winners will be pulled. You do not have to be present to win.
