Looking for an adventure this summer? Try taking on the Summer Read Challenge! You will find adventure, mystery, new lands and even outer space! Whatever adventure you want you can find and begin at the Benedek Memorial Library. Take on the Summer Read Challenge to read for 1200 minutes (20 hours) over the six weeks of the Summer Read Plus program. Sign up starts on June 29 at the library. You can sign up on line by clicking here, but not until June 29, 2024. All ages can sign up, children, tweens, young adults, adults, and seniors. When you sign up we will let you pick a prize book to start your adventures. For every 300 minutes (5 hours) of reading will earn another book up to the 1200 minutes (20 hours). Raffle tickets will be earned for every 240 minutes (2 hours). Young people (children, tweens and teens) will earn brag tags along with raffle tickets for 240 minutes (2 hours). The greatest thing anyone taking on the challenge and finishing will earn is the adventure found in reading what you want, and improvement in reading skills.
